Spam on forum

Ridiculous amount of spam on the forum recently. Are the admins doing anything to combat it?

The admins need to ban any new accounts from the last 4 months from posting/commenting etc.

The spam has ruined this site.

the only notifications i see are from spammers that have created accounts that day. I report them but the accounts are still there.

maybe prevent new members posting hundreds of messages on the day of registration?

This is getting a bit silly now - is there a way to limit new users? Like only let them post once a day for the first 7 days or similiar?

A couple of users with moderator abilities could cull the majority of it within minutes at most, even.

Knew it was going to happen eventually get a spam comment on the spam thread. Took longer than I expected.

I have to turn Norton Safe Web off to be able to read this forum now as it is not considered safe , that's where we are at , what are the moderators doing about it ????
